Exam Stress Adda

Semester exams in a week and my brain has chosen violence. I can recall every anime opening but not one formula. Sending strength to everyone else pretending to study while actually watching 'just one more episode'.

Sem exam in two days and I've opened the same thermodynamics page like 40 times, but my brain just... buffers. Anyone else read one line, understand absolutely nothing, and feel personally attacked by their own syllabus?

Prelims did it again

Cleared prelims twice, missed mains cutoff by 9 marks last time. Sitting with the same NCERTs at 4am and my hands actually shook opening polity today. Anyone else feel like the syllabus knows your fears?

College mein English medium wale bacche itni fluently bolte hain ki mujhe apni Hindi pe sharm aane lagti thi. Fir ek teacher ne kaha bhasha zubaan hai, dimaag nahi. Ab main dono mein padhti hoon, aur marks unse zyada aa rahe hain.

The junior in my PG asked me how I stay motivated for a third try. I didn't have a clean answer, so I said 'we don't stay motivated, we just show up on the low days too'. Think I needed to hear that more than she did.

Thermodynamics ka exam kal hai aur maine aaj poora din ghat pe baith ke sunset dekha. Banaras ka problem yahi hai, yaha procrastination ko log spirituality bol dete hain. Ab raat bhar padhenge, Mahadev bharosa.

Internals week and I have read the same page of Milton four times without absorbing a single word. My brain has simply logged off. Going to make one cutting chai, breathe, and try again, because panicking has never once decoded Paradise Lost for me.

The 4am library queue does something to you

There is a specific loneliness in standing outside a reading room at 4am so you can grab the good seat by the plug point. Everyone here is chasing the same 900 seats and pretending they aren't scared. I revise polity while my hands shake a little. Still showing up though.

Third year of preparation for the HSSC clerk exam. Alarm at 5, library till 10pm, and the form for this year got postponed AGAIN. Ummeed aur thakaan dono ek saath chal rahe hain. Every aspirant here knows this exact feeling.

Second IELTS attempt this Saturday and my writing is still stuck at 6. Whole family thinks Canada is one band score away. Some nights the pressure sits on my chest so heavy — par phir soch ke uth jaata hoon, apne liye nahi, papa ke sapne ke liye.

submission tomorrow, 6 plates pending, and my hand is literally cramping from inking. slept 3 hours, running on cold coffee and the pure delulu that it'll all somehow work out. design students where you at.

11 marks

Last year I missed the cutoff by 11 marks and I still remember the exact number like a scar. This attempt I've stopped counting mock ranks and started counting how many chapters I actually understood instead of just highlighted. Anyone else find the second try lonelier than the first?

End sems in a week and I've opened the textbook exactly once — to swat a mosquito with it. Sardar blood runs strong but this syllabus is testing my entire khandaan. Pray for me, yaaro, I'm cooked.

Reading twelve hours a day but my brain retains samosa stall locations better than the Constitution. Anyone else revise a topic thrice and still go completely blank in the mock? Asking for a very stressed friend, who is me.

Jury in three days

Portfolio jury is in three days and my board still looks like a toddler attacked it with crayons. Amdavad ni garmi and my anxiety are fighting over who melts me first. How do you all calm the shaking-hands-before-crit feeling?

Third MPSC attempt, and the age on my Aadhaar feels louder every single year. Twelve hours in a Chandrapur study room where the fan is louder than my confidence. Some days the syllabus feels like an ocean and I've been handed a spoon.

Back in the village nobody could explain the physics, so I taught myself by mobile torch after the load-shedding. When city classmates complain their coaching is far, I stay quiet — I'd have walked ten kilometres for what they already have.

Funny how I stressed through four years of engineering exams to land a job where nobody has ever once asked me about pointers. All that mugging for a viva, and here I am googling 'how to center a div' at 30k a month.

Pharmacology exam in three days and every drug name is running away from my brain. Chai number four, prayers number infinity. If you're awake studying too, let's just pass together, okay?

Studying for OET after a 12-hour shift is a special kind of madness. My brain reads the same paragraph four times and remembers nothing. If anyone else is prepping for abroad exams while working full-time, please tell me you also cry into your flashcards.

Fourth attempt for Group 2 and my notes have more corrections than actual content now. Amma still packs extra idli in my box for the reading room, like food will fix the cut-off.
