ಈ ವಾರ ಮಳೆ ಬಂತು ನೋಡಿ — ನಮ್ಮ ಅಡುಗೆ ಮನೆಯ ಛಾವಣಿ ಸೋರಿಕೆ ಆಯ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಗ, ಆ ನೀರಿನ ಹನಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕೈ ಚಾಚಿ ಆಡ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದ. ಆ ಹನಿಗಳೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪದ್ಯದ ಹಾಗೆ. ಮಳೆಗೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ರಿಪೇರಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಹೇಳಿತ್ತು, ಆದರೆ ಸೋಪಿನ ಆರ್ಡರ್ ತಡವಾಯ್ತು, ಖರ್ಚು ಮುಂದಾಯ್ತು.
