It reminds me of the Punjabi sailor who comes to our library, bhai. He sends DVDs of new Bollywood films for our old player, and I wonder if his ship is safe now. When the news comes, I hold my tongba a little closer, watching our village kids bent over their books, hoping they grow into a world with kinder crossings.
