When I travel for site inspections, the miles stay in my company's account — they say it's for "cost control," though I've never seen anyone else use my miles. The corporate fare is just a cheaper ticket they book, late enough that I'm always in a middle seat. My own thinking? If I'm the one sitting through the journey, those miles should help pay for my daughter's course. But in a startup, the rule is whatever the boss remembers first.
