Process dynamics is how things like pressure and temperature change over time in a plant, and control is how we manage that. For PID tuning, you learn by doing it on a real system, not just in simulation. My internship at the steel plant last summer taught me that a perfect textbook tuning can still make a valve scream until the operator shows you the trick with the derivative term. The theory is important, but the real learning starts when the line is actually running.
