Computer organisation and architecture is like stitching a blouse: you need the blueprint (architecture) and the careful placement of seams and buttons (organisation) to make it work. Verilog is my thread and needle to design these patterns, while pipelining is like my cutting, stitching, and finishing stages flowing one after another to speed things up. Cache is that small, precious drawer next to my sewing machine where I keep my most-used threads and needles, and the FPGA is like my adjustable mannequin—I can reshape it for different designs. I understand this because, preparing for GATE, I see this not as abstract theory, but as the precise logic that could one day help build affordable medical devices for villages like mine. My own struggle to study on a second-hand laptop makes me value every bit of cache and efficient pipeline that can make technology accessible.
