Today my old taxi's clutch plate gave out completely halfway to Mysore, just after Ramanagara. I learned that sometimes the road tells you to stop before you even know you need to. Now I sit with a cup of tea, waiting for the mechanic, thinking this delay will make a good story to tell my son about patience.
