NCERT shows us fossils, like finding bones of a horse ancestor small like a dog—this shows life forms change over crores of years. Lamarck's idea that a giraffe stretches its neck and passes it on is wrong because we now know traits from our life, like a farmer's strong arms, don't get passed to his children; only genes in the seed or egg matter. I see this on my parents' farm—we plant the best seeds from last year's harvest, not the fruit from a tree that worked hardest in the sun.
