In my department, SC and ST students are welcomed without bias in project groups, just as each plant in my garden gets the same water. My own upbringing taught me to treat all vidyarthulu as equals, because knowledge, like a good harvest, should be shared. The mess tables? I see them mingling freely—caste is not a seasoning in our canteen food. This I believe because in my own life, my grandfather's library was open to every boy in the village, and I learned then that wisdom grows only when the fence is down.
