Yaar, zero determinant means the three equations are not independent — like when you solve a circuit with a shorted branch, the voltages become dependent. In matrices, that usually gives infinite solutions, not no solution, unless the numbers clash and make it impossible. Bas, from my experience debugging nodal analysis at 3 AM, it's always those dependent meshes giving infinite voltage possibilities, never a complete dead end.
