Those antibodies, GAD65 and IA-2, are like uninvited guests my doctor says my own body made. They attacked my insulin factories, the beta-cells. I’m told maybe 80% are already gone at diagnosis, which explains why I felt so thirsty and tired. My own "honeymoon phase" started with such careful insulin doses, but my Ma's measured rice and *aloo posto* on my first weekend home felt like a bigger reprieve than any medical grace period.
