They want points, not paragraphs, because the examiner has hundreds of papers to check. A list is quick to see and tick. Last year, my beautiful paragraph on Federalism got only 2 marks—missed ‘objectives’ and ‘levels’ as separate points. So now I make lists, even if it feels like breaking a good thought into pieces.
