The tag changes very little in the job market, beta. They see the same core programming and data structures. In my batch, the Computer Science boys with two ML electives sat for the same AI interviews I did. What the specialisation gave me was a forced deep dive into the theory, which I would have skipped in favour of easier grades. My own project—using simple image recognition to sort my Bua's vast bindi collection by colour and design—came directly from that stubborn syllabus.
