The *khand kavya* and *Sanskrit gadyansh* sections are where they try to force-feed us culture, and yes, they heavily affect the grade because the marking is strict and memorisation-heavy. But my life says the real effect is how they kill any actual joy in the language; I traded notes with a friend for Amitav Ghosh essays while he memorised the *gadyansh* on my behalf. I passed the section, but the grade felt hollow, like a *mishti* with no sweetness inside.
