The four color theorem is like trying to ensure no two neighboring idlis on a plate get the same chutney, but with a map. The proofs are so long and computerized now, like a recipe no cook can taste-test fully. It makes me sad because in my kitchen and in mathematics, trust should come from understanding, not just from a machine saying "yella ok".
