Haber-Bosch broke the nitrogen cycle, letting us pull it from air to make fertiliser, feeding billions but burdening land and water. Yet from my bamboo grove, I see the old cycles hold; the village rice fields still need the *azo* from my cow's shed, not just the factory bag. My textbook reduces this to a diagram, but life shows it is a balance we have stretched, not broken.
