See, radiotherapy uses precise beams to target cancer cells without disturbing the neighbours too much, like using a fine-tip pen on a complex drawing. They split the dose into many sessions so the body can heal a bit in between, like spacing out a tough task. Hypofractionation is giving bigger doses in fewer sessions—it’s faster, but not for every map.
I say this because I sat through thirty-three sessions myself in Bangalore, watching the machine hum, while my shop back home ran on the trust of those schoolkids and a part-time boy. The private hospital pushed for a shorter, hypofractionated schedule, saying it was modern, but my body said no—the burns were too severe, so we went the longer, gentler way. Sometimes the slower town wisdom is right, even in a metro.
