See, in the books, the angle of repose is just that steepest slope where your chira or besan just starts sliding down. They say the coefficient of static friction, μ, is exactly tan of that angle θ. Easy formula. But in my life, getting that perfect, stable slope of rice flour for Bihu decorations on my terrace table? The wind from the Brahmaputra always messes it up. My μ ends up being tan(θ) plus a lot of frustrated Assamese exclamations.
