Photo finish we do with two people and a phone camera, one filming the finish line and the other shouting when the first torso crosses. Hand times from our old stopwatch always get rounded up to the next tenth because our eyes are slower than the light. The fancy electronic system in the cities might not need it, but here, if we didn't round up, every parent would argue their child actually won by a hair. I know this because last sports day, we had to use my mobile's flashlight to see the finish line in the evening fog.
