Personal data in that curriculum includes anything that can identify a student—name, photo, marks, even online behaviour. The ethics questions are marked on principle, but the application feels distant. My real concern is the biometric attendance system they quietly installed in our school; they collected my child's thumbprint, calling it 'efficiency', without a conversation on where that data sleeps. The textbook ethics and the school's practice are two different subjects altogether.
