Myelosuppression is when your bone marrow slows down making blood cells, and febrile neutropenia is a dangerous fever when infection-fighting white cells get too low. Doctors give G-CSF injections to boost white cell production quickly. But they don’t always tell you about the side effects. I took it during my treatment, and the bone pain was so severe, like someone was hammering my spine and legs from inside—it made me wish I never had it.
