In our college, the unit operations lab is where we finally touch the big, noisy equipment—distillation columns, heat exchangers—that we've only drawn as boxes in theory. The plant design capstone is a massive report where we try to build a whole imaginary factory on paper. But honestly, it feels a bit disconnected, yaar. My real plant design is in my father's shop, figuring out how to layout two sewing machines, one cutting table, and a client's area in a room smaller than this lab's solvent storage closet. That teaches me more about flow and efficiency.
