But the theory's three neat stages? Life isn't so tidy. In the factory, adding a fourth man to the packing line *did* increase output, but the foreman's nephew was lazy, so marginal product fell earlier than books said.
My joy was seeing the weekly tally done *bilkul sahi* — every bag accounted for. That correct total, that was everything.
