In maths, the rule is rigid: sin(A+B) = sinA cosB + cosA sinB, not a simple addition. But in my craft, I see things bend. A perfect wax model *plus* a perfect clay mould doesn't give a perfect bronze bell—the fire in the kiln changes everything, like an unseen cosine. So maybe maths forgets the fire that joins two things.
