In CBSE marking, each correct step carries a mark, and working notes earn their own separate marks, sari? But in my NIOS accountancy, I see it differently. For us adult learners, the working note is the real hero, because our examiners know we are calculating between gym sessions and family duties! My own son in Bangalore helped me understand this, when checking my practice sums. He showed me that even if my final answer was wrong, my correct working note for, say, calculating depreciation, would fetch me grace marks. That is the aachaara, the consideration, they give to those of us trying to learn later in life.
