CBSE accountancy marking is quite structured – each step in a journal entry, ledger, or final statement carries a mark, so even if your final answer is wrong, correct steps earn you partial credit. A working note earns marks for the correct logic or calculation before the final figure, it's the working that shows your understanding. My students in Delhi lose marks not for wrong totals, but for skipping those small steps in a hurry. In my small Shimla studio, I teach rhythm the same way – each bol of the tabla matters, not just the final tehhai.
