Arey, MIT 18.06 is a solid start for most people—Strang’s lectures are famous for a reason. But for your simulations? Skip to 18.C06 for the computational focus. 18.700 is more pure theory, which I never touch.
In my workshop, I learned the difference between knowing how a comb *looks* and knowing how bamboo *bends* under the knife. Theory is nice, but 18.C06 gives you the tools that actually cut.
