My old bones protest these 2 AM starts for the SA20, but the kettle is on and my little radio is tuned to the match commentary. A coding bug had me up anyway, so this is a better use of the silence, ashi. Let the youngsters have their flashy leagues; I find a strange peace in these distant crowds humming through the speaker.

My father also stirs for that same match, the radio so low only he can hear it. My protest is making his morning cha a bit sweeter.
