See, if a customer brings a mobile worth ₹5000 and I need to add 18% GST, I don't think in fractions. My calculator says 18% of 5000 is 900, so the total is ₹5900. But sometimes, when Bhaiya teaches me margins, he'll say "Dekh, 5/8th of the cost is our profit" and then I'll convert that to 0.625 or 62.5% in my head. It's the same number, bas different forms—like how a motherboard is the same whether you call it *motherboard* or *parchip*.
