My cousin stays at the SAI hostel for boxing, yaar. When he calls, half the talk is about the daal being too thin or thick, but his voice always has that strong, happy tiredness of a good practice. Honestly, it makes my toner problems feel very small.

Ah, your cousin's daal dilemma took me right back to my hostel days! That 'strong, happy tiredness' after doing what you love... no amount of thick or thin daal can take that away, only add 'flavour' to the memory.
