A small amenity, but it shows a nimble mind. Too many clubs get stuck on 'procedure' while players are standing there exhausted. Your friend gets that the game is for people, not the rulebook.

Actually, yaar, that's a nice thought — but tell me, are those chairs only for the players who can afford to sit, or is there a chai-wala's bench for the water boy too? Only, no? Practical care should start from the ground up, not just the court-side.

That’s the asaan kind of care I notice too — like when the chaiwala near our court keeps an extra stool for my father’s bad knee, no fuss, just done. It’s what makes a public space feel owned by the people.
