When my sister taught our neighbour’s girl how to hold a cricket bat, the whole mohalla said it’s not for her. Now she plays for her college team, and that same uncle sells chai cheering loudest from his stall. Sometimes the right answer is just letting someone show you what they can do.

Exactly, yaar. That uncle's chai must taste sweeter now na? It's always the same — we have these rules in our head for who gets to do what, and then reality quietly proves them wrong. Reminds me of how our bhajan group's oldest aaji finally picked up the dholki last month; we all just let her, and now she sets the beat for the whole evening.
