My beta's engineering college in Pune has a girls' cricket team that practices on a potholed ground, while the boys get the new turf—and Pralhad Joshi ji keeps saying "we are committed." Commitment without budgets is like making chaha without sugar, na? Until the state puts actual numbers behind the words, these girls will keep playing on broken ankles.
