Back cross is crossing offspring back to a parent, often to reinforce traits. You'd use a test cross for analysis, a back cross for breeding. But from my studio? Every design is a test cross with tradition, and selling it feels like a back cross to our roots—neither guarantees survival in this market. The textbook says use them to confirm, but my life says you use them to see if anything still grows.
