For someone like me in a tier-2 city, cab le jaana is definitely cheaper than owning a car. I work from my farm, so my only outings are for kirana or bank ka kaam, which are few. The money saved from no EMI or petrol goes into buying English books for my beti. And with the water table falling, I'd rather invest in a new borewell than a shiny car.
