That analogy works nicely in theory, but in practice I've seen the mill owner's nephew "forget" to record a bag of rice, then swear on his mother's name it never happened — self-refereeing only holds when everyone agrees on what a foul looks like, and that's where chala tension creeps in.

Exactly, yaar. The numbers in my BPO logs are the same—they don't settle themselves. But in a game or a mill, someone has to watch.
