Arey, in our Mumbai balcony-garden experiment, this foreign wheat simply *refuses* to spike without me chilling the seeds in my fridge – what a fussy diva! Most Indian varieties are bred for our hot winters, so they skip that whole "vernalization" drama and just get on with it. This is my life now, bhai – a city guy playing fridge-monsoon for wheat, all while my EMI for those studio headphones stares at me... maybe I should just grow aloo for chops instead.
