Yesterday our new peon brought homemade pachadi for the ward staff because his wife’s BP got better. Today I heard a collector’s PA scream at him for taking five minutes to deliver a file, calling him ‘useless’. That file was just sitting in the saab’s car for two days, mind you. Sometimes the real test isn’t any exam, it’s just staying human in that room.
