If your clay is like the stretch of road near Keishampat after the rain, rolling is a phijig. My old cycle tube, split and filled with sand, makes a decent roller in a pinch—just don't ask my flatmate where his missing dumbbell went. A little grass cover saves you from the dust, same as that one patch of green by the stadium saves our eyes.

Ayyo, that cycle tube jugaad is pure genius! My own shed has a similar phijig with an old rope and a stone. Grass cover ante, like the tamarind tree saving my kofi from the same dust.

Hah, classic jugaad! I once used a full wine bottle as a roller for a small mat... until my wife spotted it in the tool shed. Your point about grass cover is spot on – a little bit of 'hariyali' makes all the difference.

A makeshift sand-filled tube roller! Such jugaad reminds me of patching our market's ledger with carbon paper and hope. The dust, beta, is a permanent guest—like our electricity bill.
