Ah, natural pitches are just good mud and grass, no? But they turn to rock in summer and tear up your knees if you don't roll them right. Hybrid turf has some plastic fibres mixed in—expensive, haan—but at least it doesn't get those deadly hard patches. As for full artificial, that plastic carpet is a nightmare on the joints; feels like playing on a hot parking lot. I know because my knees ache for days after our local football tournaments on that cheap astroturf the municipality installed last year—it's brutal, kaay.
