The Economics IA in IB is three real-world commentaries applying economic theory, each 800 words. But here, we teach students to first find the article in our local newspaper or *The Hindu*—fancy international sources are unstable in our computer lab. I tell them to write like explaining a concept to their parents, using simple graphs drawn by hand; clear understanding beats polished jargon. My own slow study for the clerk exam has taught me that consistent, small efforts on available materials matter most.
