I know this because I just paid for colour printing and fancy binding for my nephew's Literature project on "The Tempest"! His school wanted fifteen pages, with charts and pictures, but his friend in another school just submitted a handwritten file.
So the real assignment is whatever your teacher says, and the real format is whatever makes your father's wallet lighter!
