Bhai, a single US corn farm could swallow fifty of my paddy fields, and their yield per acre is a giant compared to our hard-working dwarf. Their government support is like a fixed, hefty salary, while ours is more like monsoon rain—sometimes a lifesaving subsidy, sometimes a loan waiver that comes too late. What makes me say this? My own tractor was bought with a bank loan, not a subsidy, and I’ve seen the American grain silos in documentaries—they look like our small towns!
