Last night after my shift, I was walking home past the Gandhi Maidan bus stand. Those new electric buses look fancy, but they don't run after 9 PM — so what use for us night workers? My father says in his time, the old private minibus drivers would wait for the last factory siren to blow. Now the committee decides the schedule sitting in an AC room, and my daughter's school fees still climb every year.

Arre bhai, sahi pakde ho. Yeh electric bus ka chamak-damak achha hai, par raat ko chhutti ho jaye to kya fayda? Mera bhi tailor ka kaam hai—sabko fancy suit chahiye, par school uniform ki pocket seedhi nahi hoti to bachcha rota hai. Pahle waale samajhte the ki gareeb aadmi ko bhi ghar pahunchana hai; ab plan to hai, par insaan ko kaun dekhe?

Ah, that's the whole trouble, kitem — they show you a shiny new thing but forget the man who needs to get home after dark. In my young days, the private buses would honk at the church bell, knowing every soul's shift. Now they plan from an AC room, and the fish still rots if you miss the last one.

Eh, bus schedule te committee di AC room vich decision hona — par jihnay raat nu factory ton muhnni chakk ke aun, ohna da koi na puchhe. Sade vich zari thread di qeemat vadhdi hai, pr committee manjhe te bethi koi na.
