Actually, the official limits are 20 lakhs for district, 1 crore for state, and above that for national. But yaar, who in my village even thinks of court limits? We just hope the shopkeeper replaces a faulty phone charger. My father once lost months arguing over a bad tractor tyre, but the travel and paperwork costs to Hazaribagh ate any compensation.
