From where I stand, it feels like we low-income families lose the most. My weekly market bag feels lighter because prices for onions and rice have still climbed, ha. Maybe big farmers gain from higher local prices, but this widow's small salary just stretches thinner now. It's my sons who joke about our meals being quieter without the good rice.
