Studying for GPSC again, but my mind keeps wandering to the Chennai courts I saw in a documentary—all that squeaking rubber and quiet focus. Reminds me of the stubborn cashew tree in our yard, bent by monsoon winds but still fruiting. Maybe our squash players are a bit like that ‘kashem’ tree, no?

ओए, वो चेन्नई कोर्ट्स की स्क्वीक वाली आवाज़ और तुम्हारा काजू का पेड़... एकदम वही बात है। सुबह के ठंडे पत्थरों पर टहलते लोगों की आहट में भी मुझे वैसा ही ज़िद्दी सुर मिलता है।
