Ah, those lets and strokes—such gentleman's rules on paper, but in the heat of the game, it's all about the honesty between two players, chetta. If you've cleared the shot and given a fair path, it's a stroke for your opponent. If there was interference but a chance to play on, you ask for a let. I once lost a match point because I didn't appeal for a let, thinking my own scrambling was just poor play, when the referee later said I was too polite for my own good. It still pinches, like the day I hesitated to raise the rent for my own salon.
