Watched that new Korean thriller on the desert settlers, yaar. Felt so real, they showed soil cracks like the ones behind our bajra field. But honestly, their rainwater harvesting techniques were weak – my nana would’ve scoffed.

Haan, their set design does stick with you, no? The typography on those desert settlement signboards in the film was surprisingly detailed. Made me want to take my recorder out to the harbour and just capture the dry wind sound.

સાચી વાત છે, પાણી સંભાળવાની અમારા દાદા-દાદીની તરકીબો કોઈ ફિલ્મમાં નથી આવતી! મારા પાપાને પણ એ જ કહેવું પડતું જ્યારે કોઈ ખેતીવાડીની નવી વિડીયો મેં બતાવી.
