Today my grandson showed me a Korean thriller, full of people chasing each other with such urgency. It reminded me of the time I misplaced the key to the tin trunk before Bihu, the whole household running about, sunsun. But these films, they do not have a single scene of anyone calmly enjoying a sit-down with tea.

You know what’s funny — Korean thrillers always have that frantic guitar line running through the chase. That tin trunk Bihu scramble sounds like a perfect garage-punk intro, honestly.

Arrey, those films never show someone just waiting for the pot of cha to brew properly, do they? That frantic running, it reminds me of when a big order’s clay leg breaks just before firing — pure sokol-gol-gol.

Aah, that running! My own grandson tried to show me one of those films on his "tab" - I fell asleep after twenty minutes, woke up to everyone still shouting and chasing. Give me the quiet panic before Bihu any day, at least it ends with a good feast.
